to vote. We've become fully aware of the monied interests
vast power in both of the major political parties. We've learned
from past interviews about the vicious, malicious, pernicious
and incestuous nature of the Beltway. Hell, there hasn't been
a National Security Advisor who hasn't worked for, or worked
for someone who worked for, Henry Kissinger since he held
the post back in the Nixon administration!

One of last Saturday's guests, John Perkins, author
of "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man," and the
new paperback edition of, "The Secret History of the
American Empire: Economic Hit Men, Jackals, and the Truth
about Global Corruption." is making a couple Chicago
area appearances.
Next Thursday, May 15th, he'll be at the Borders in Oak Park,
1144 Lake Street, for a talk and booksigning.
And Friday through Sunday, May 16th to 18th, it's the 2008
Green Festival at Navy Pier. John will be giving a talk
on Saturday at 2 PM called, “Geo-Politics, the Future,

Saturday, June 7th, This is Hell! celebrates it's 10th
anniversary by airing an all-listener request show. Every
guest on our 10th anniversary show will be guests that were
requested by our listeners.
We know, we know. The all-request show has now been rescheduled
twice. However, due to sports programming which will likely
abbreviate our broadcasts through May, and our desire to have
the listener request show be a full four hours, it has had
to be rescheduled again.

sailing from Portland, Oregon to Santa Cruz, California on
a sailboat completely powered by renewable/sustainable energy
including recycled plastic bottle sails and a biodiesel fuel
engine. The trip is called the "2041, Voyage for Cleaner
Energy" and the trip is being run by Robert Swan who
was the first man to ever step foot on both the North and
South Pole. Robert is now promoting renewable energy by traveling
to the five largest carbon emitters in the world, starting
in the US.

the show from 3 PM till 8 PM.
Yeah, we know it's a long time. But with so many upcoming
shows abbreviated due to special programming, we're taking
a few weeks off from post-show drunkenness.
